This diner has great food, is very welcoming, and has large options and portions of its local "delicacies".

I got a southern skillet one night after work and I was very impressed

I had the huge piece of catfish!! Loved the fish and coating! Dennis had burger and fries, but after he tasted my fish, he wished he had gotten that. The burger was good but he LOVES fish but is hesitant to order it if he hasn't been there before. Brandy is❤❤ a great waitress

I am a local, and my hubby and I have breakfast at MFR as our Saturday morning date, most weeks. It is a family diner - not a fancy place, just good food, generous portions, and really great, friendly service. There is no smoking allowed, which is also a plus for us.

If you like having to beg for your food and for silverware it is the perfect place for you.From what i saw if you are not a regular they couldn't care less. As for the food what i ordered was the gyro dinner was a joke it came with a salid i had to ask for after the meal was served then had to sak for silverware. The only reason i am giving 1 star is because there is not an option for less or even negative score. For myself i will never set foot in that place agine.

Excellent service, excellent food and good prices...small but perfect

We went to go eat breakfast on our way to Rowing River, and my brother through up because of its food. It tasted kind of weird, but they gave you a lot of food for a low price, so that was good. Their biscuits and gravy tasted very weird, the biscuits tasted like a weirs cake and it was really fluffy. If you where to get them you would need a lot more to fill you up. Yet again this was my experience, so it could very by being better or worse. Just be careful, it might make you through up or get really sick.

Tried this place today and it was amazing! A good ol fashioned down home restaurant with everything you would want on the menu and believe me, you get way more food than you could ever eat. Huge portions and low prices makes me a new regular!

The food was greasy i got the southern skillet. The sweet tea tasted pretty bad. The eggs were gross.. The bathroom was super small and only the cold water worked.. The waitress was really nice and did her job really well..

Their menu is very odd (no potato.) It's small and old on the inside. They have great and not-so-great items on the menu. However, it is a family owned restaurant. The food isn't unlike any other family diner. We eat there for breakfast sometimes.

Good food. Great service. And they told my mom and me how ro get back on highway 60.

This was my 1st time here and I love this little Mom n Pop restaurant! Their soup of the day was chicken and rice. I have never said OMG abt a soup before. Hands down the BEST cup of soup I've ever had in my life, creamy and flavorful. Their ranch dressing is homemade and delicious. My ham steak dinner came with soup, potato, TX toast, and another side. The Mancho breakfast had 2 huge pancakes, 2 eggs, 3 strips of bacon. The kids spaghetti was a large portion and came with TX toast, leftovers for lunch! Our bill was around $26, including 2 milks). Overall, great food and a great for price and portions. Our server was sweet, nice, and patient (took us awhile to order, not familar with menu). Will def be back!!

Over the years the food quality is consistently good. The service is friendly and the prices are reasonable. Definitely not fine dining, but it's nice to have a place that serves comfort food with a smile.

1st time eating there. Quiet restaurant. Didnt have to talk over loud music. I had the daily special which come with piece of cake or icecream. Waitress was friendly.

Restaurant is dirty. Bathroom was gross. Used to go all the time but it had been about 3 years since we went and it has really gone down hill. Menu was held together with tape. Low prices and food was ok but I don’t think we will be going back.

My husband and I came in this morning to eat breakfast. When we walked thru the door the girl told us to sit where we like. We sat at a booth and waited and waited for someone to help us. No one ever came over. We were completely ignored!! I don't mind waiting if the staff says they will get to us. There was only 3 tables full and the staff wasnt doing anything but socializing. After waiting quite a while with no interaction we were forced to leave. If I could give 0 stars I would. I have eaten the Monett Family Restaurant so many times, but I wont be back.

Server was very friendly and helpful. Food, not really that good, but I'll go back and try something different next time. Place was clean and not very busy when I was there about 7 pm on a Monday evening.

For the one time that I have been there, this place is great! The waitress was quick to get my order and the food was hot and fresh. I will stop again when I am back in town, that's for sure!

Went for an early dinner and were the only people there. Parking lot sign said breakfast all day but large sign on building had specific times. Turns out you can order breakfast all day. Ordered veggie omelet with hash browns and biscuit/gravy. Omelet was overcooked but did have alot of veggies. The hash browns were undercooked in places and the gravy with the biscuits was very bland with a flourish taste and no sausage or even pepper sprinkled in it. The meal was very disappointing.

I love eating at the Monett Family Restuarant. Always seems to be more than I can eat and some to take home. Always a friendly waitress and usually the owner will ask you how your meal was. Breakfast served all day. Myself I love the breakfast skillets.

Everytime I go there the food is always amazing. You definitely get your money's worth. The staff is amazing. It's honestly hard for me to finish my food sometimes. It's not expensive roughly 8-12$ depending on what you get. Would definitely recommend to everyone and will definitely be going back. Atmosphere is also amazing. It's a small town dinner hands down 10/10.

Bout the only place 2 still get chicken livers around& the cook makes them great& good folks good food good times. Down to earth& prices competitive. Cook & waitresses r real& pleasant to visit with. Happy atmosphere. It's an old place but maybe they can fix it up to more modern dining room& restrooms b4 long. I'm gona stay faithful to my town & it's real folks by continuing to dine there. Out or in! Best foods

This little cafe is very clean, has a wonderful wait staff. They are very friendly. Did not have a long wait for the food, and it was delicious! I would only recommend one thing, smaller portions! Way too much food! The prices are more than reasonable. Highly recommend this little spot! I will go back!
